Dr. Dorsey Endorsed by the Carroll County Times in General Election

As it did in the primary election, on October 25, 2018, the Carroll County Times announced it endorses Dr. Dorsey for Carroll County Board of Education in the general election!

As the Times states:

"Patricia Dorsey is the only candidate running with extensive experience working inside the Carroll County Public Schools system both as a classroom teacher and in administration as a principal. Her education career, which spanned nearly four decades, gives her a needed perspective on how decisions made by the Board of education will affect the teachers and administrators who have to carry out those decisions in the schools every day."

The Times went on to write:

"Beyond that, she is a well-respected member of the community, having grown up in Carroll County with numerous connections and community involvement, which should make her accessible to the public. Also, as the county school system seeks to address issues of diversity, both regarding staffing and a growing minority student population, Dorsey, an African-American, will be a great advocate for minority students and teachers on the board."

Dr. Dorsey thanks the Times for its endorsement.

Dr. Dorsey is Endorsed by the Carroll County Times

On June 10, 2018, the Carroll County Times announced it endorses Dr. Dorsey for Carroll County Board of Education in the upcoming primary election!!

As the Times states:

"Dorsey’s nearly 40-year career as an educator in the Carroll County Public Schools system, as both a revered classroom teacher and a principal, gives her an intimate knowledge of how decisions made by the BOE affect what’s actually happening inside the buildings and in the classroom. As CCPS also seeks to address diversity issues related to both staffing and a growing minority student population, we believe Dorsey, an African-American herself, would be a great advocate on the board."

In response to the endorsement, Dr. Dorsey states: "I am humbled and grateful to receive the endorsement of the Carroll County Times," and looks forward to continuing to share how her preparedness, experience, and dedication to the citizens, staff, and community of Carroll County makes her the most qualified candidate for the Board.
